Once you get your new outlet, get ready with it. You now need to locate the screws for the hot, neutral, and ground wire. These are at the side of the outlet.

Remember some people tend to cut the drywall again for this. But you would not do this actually. In case someone does it, he needs to fix the overcut drywall for the outlet.

Take the outlet and put it close to the gap where you would install it. Then you would see the wires just like you attached to the outlet already.

You would find 3 wires: the hot, neutral, and the ground wire. But before you work with those wires, take the voltage detector. 

See, if there is any voltage running across the wires. There would definitely be no voltage running as you already turned off the power initially.

But it is still recommendable to check the voltage before you get started with this. Now, connect the attached wires to the wires coming out of the wall.

You just connect the wires to the wire connectors that are attached already. And that is how you can link up both the wires for each type of them. 

Once you connect these wires, you need to tighten the screws of the outlets again. You know it is important to tighten the screws properly.

And now, you can put the wire inside the j box or the wall. Just push in the wires gently with a little bit of force. And then you set the new outlet by holding it on the j box.
