How to Hang A Picture into Concrete Wall Without Drilling

There are two ways to hang a picture without actually drilling on your wall. There’s one using an adhesive hook and another one using a Hardwell hanger.

Method 1 of 2: Using Adhesive Hooks

These hooks have adhesive on their back. Thus they can stick firmly on the wall. You can opt for two hooks. This will better support your picture!

Let’s check the steps to install it.

Step 1 of 3: Prep Your Wall

Start by cleaning the wall portion where the hook will be placed. You can use a paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol for this. Cleaning the surface will also help the adhesive stick better.

You can also use soapy water as an alternative. But dry it before you move any further. You can also use any type of abrasive to clean your surface.

Step 2 of 3: Mark The Spot & Stick The Hook

For this use a pencil to mark the spot. Find the exact place you want the hook to be installed.  Then mark it precisely.

Remove the plastic cover from the adhesive. Line up the hook straight against the wall. Press it to the wall with a decent amount of strength.  Press it on for 30 to 45 seconds before releasing it.

Step 3 of 3: Allow The Adhesive To Dry

Now, you’ll have to wait for the adhesive to dry. It’ll take about 30 to 60 minutes. After that, hang a bag or something on the hook to test it.

Once you’re certain the hook won’t fall, you can hang your picture.

Method 2 of 3: Using Hardwall Hangers

These hangers will be perfect for the massive portraits. Again, you can use two for more support. Now, onto the steps.

Step 1 of 2: Mark The Spot

Mark a dot where you want your picture. Follow the steps we did for adhesive hooks.

In the case of two hangers, measure the distance between them. Then mark the spot according to that measurement.

Step 2 of 2: Install The Hanger

For this, place your hanger on the marked spot. Hold the hanger on the wall. With your other hand, gently nail the 4 pins with a hammer onto the wall. But only do it halfway.

Release the hangers and check whether they’re in the same position. Because if you position one off-center, the other might also be crooked.

After checking it, if you think the position is right, you can nail it all the way. If not, take it off, mark your spot again, and then nail it.

What if you want to hang some bigger frames? Then look no further.

Step 1 of 2: Drill A Hole Into The Wall

Mark the spot just like you did in the adhesive hook installation. Then you can use a hammer drill or a regular electric drill. But a hammer drill is preferred over an electric drill.

Use it at a slower speed for better results. But maintain a firm grip.

Step 2 of 2: Place The Anchor In The Hole & Add The Screws

Tap the anchor until it’s completely flushed into the wall hole. If you see that the hole is a little too snug, try expanding the hole a bit. Redrill using a slightly larger bit. It’ll fit easily then.

Put your screw in the anchor using a screwdriver. But don’t screw all the way. Leave off about ½ or ¾ of a centimeter. This is where you’ll place the wire at the back of your picture frame.

You can also install your wall cabinets with this method! Instead of the screws, you’ll use studs.

You can finally hang your pictures now!
