Step by Step Procedure

Step 1

  1. Cut into the duct segments through the holes in the duct collars.
  2. To fasten the pieces, put galvanized screws into the holes.
  3. Use a zip tie to secure the adjustable ducting to the metal register case.
  4. Wrap a layer of tin foil duct tape over the zip tie. Exactly where the flex duct joins the register box. This is for extra grip and to prevent air gaps.

Step 7
