Step 1: Set The Locations of The Posts
First, decide the space where you’ll place your straight-line fence posts. Then grab the first post and set it up with a string. Secure the stake, mark a point 4 inches from the ground.
Drag the string to the next spot of the fence, level the string again. Now, count the space from the ground and subtract 4”.
