Step-1: Planning

Before you start any project or chore, especially one as crucial to your farm or property as security, make plans. Be sure you are well prepared. 

Firstly you must prepare your plans, following which you may go on to implementation. You’ll need to think about the width, length, and height of your fence.

Step-2: Preparation

The first thing you should do is determine the height of your fence. The height of the fence must be at least 2 feet higher than the height of the posts. Your posts should be at least 7 feet tall if your fence will be 5 feet tall.

Step-3: Measurements

Measuring the space you’re working in is crucial if you want it to be a real square. Determine your starting position and label it with a post, then use the measuring tape to move to the next corner. Once you’ve marked it with a post, go around the perimeter and do the same thing at each corner.

After you’ve marked all four corners, make sure to measure diagonally as well, as all measures should be the same. Before moving on to the next stage, if necessary, reposition the poles to get the proper measurements.

Step-4: Amount of Wires

Now measure the length of your fence from one corner to the other. It’ll help you figure out how much wire fence you’ll need. After that, add the sides together to obtain the total, which will tell you how much wire you’ll need. 

The wire fence is available in rolls ranging in length from 20 to 110 feet. You will want to deal with the larger rolls if you want to keep your costs cheap. However, you will notice that the smaller types are much easier to handle.

Step-5: Removing and Replacing Markers

Your marker posts will need to be removed and replaced with T-posts. It can be done with a hammer or a steel post driver. Make sure they’re straight when you put them in.

Step-6: Making a Straight Line

You need to tie ropes around each post at the top of the fences. This is to  keep them in a straight line. This helps to show you if they’re all even.

Step-7: Placing Posts

Each post should be 7 to 10 feet apart from each other. Measure the distance between the first post and the corner one. Then, set the post in the ground and repeat with the remaining posts. Make sure your post is at a 90° angle. Remove the strings you used earlier if they’re all in place. 

Step-8: Final Tweaks

Using baling wire or metal ties. Secure the wire’s end to the first post. Carefully unroll the wire. Then stretch it to the next post.

Stretching your field fence is no different than stretching any other type of offense. You will need to perform one easy step to extend it on uneven ground. After you’ve installed the first post, double-check that each one isn’t too far apart. You should leave a gap between the ground and the wire base. It’s quite straightforward. 

All you have to do is raise the wire base slightly above ground level or install in wet grounds. Make sure you’ve measured the highest point on the uneven ground before proceeding. If you do it, you’ll be able to determine the height of your wire base above ground level.
