When it comes to floor restorers, Rejuvenate has been really popular. But after usage, it may leave a cloud trail or a film on your wooden floor. It ruins the look but has to be removed. Luckily, you can remove it by yourself.
How to remove Rejuvenate floor restorer?
White vinegar works nicely against floor restorers. Simply take a bucket with 1 gallon of water. Pour 1 cup of vinegar in there and stir it. Take a mop, dip it wet and mop the affected area. Let the vinegar stay for 8-10 minutes and you’re done! You can also use a floor stripper to remove Rejuvenate completely.
Anyhow, that was just a brief answer to the entire discussion. There’s still a lot of explaining to do.

How Does A Rejuvenate Floor Restorer Work?
Wooden furniture and floors get wear and tear over time. Because of that, their overall looks get ruined and they appear dull and lifeless.
A floor restorer restores your wooden floor back to its old glory. It’ll bring back the vibrance the floor once had.
It’s a water-based polymer material that adds a protective layer. Other than that, it significantly improves the traction of your wooden floors.
That’s why you can use them to get rid of slippery laminate floors.
It can also fill in scratches resulting in a smoother surface. The protective layer also protects the floors from UV rays.
But there is always a downside to every good thing. Rejuvenate floor restorers can often leave a film after getting dry.
When that happens, a cloudy film becomes visible and it becomes quite annoying. Washing the floor with water doesn’t really solve it.
That’s why you have to opt for the right solution. The removal process isn’t always the same because of floor materials. It’s because hardwood and laminate aren’t the same types of wood.
Luckily, I’ve listed both types of removal processes for you!
Rejuvenate Floor Restorer Removal Process: 4 Simple Steps
Unfortunately, simple washing with water can’t get rid of the restorer stain. That is why rubbing with a scrubber is out of the question.
On top of that, too much scrubbing can damage the floor as well. The protective layer that you have placed, will be weakened too.
That is why there are only 2 specific ways to remove a floor restorer. One of them involves white vinegar. White vinegar is also used to get rid of buildup from laminate floors.
The other one involves a special IFT solution. This solution works the same as white vinegar but needs to be bought.
That’s why I’ve concentrated on white vinegar, which is inexpensive and readily available.
To remove Rejuvenate with vinegar, you’ll need to do a few steps.
To help you out, I’ve simplified the process for you-
Step 1: Make A Vinegar Solution
In this step, you’re going to make a strong vinegar solution first. For that, you’ll need a bucket containing one gallon of water.
When the above-mentioned amount of water is poured, mix 1 cup of white vinegar. Use a ladle or a big spoon to spin the water for a better mixture.
You can use this same solution to lift stains from linoleum floors.
Step 2: Mop The Floor with Vinegar
Since the mixture is ready, you can now start mopping the floor with it. Take a mop and dip it into the solution.
Take out as much water as you can and then mop the floor. A wet mop is better than a dripping one. Make sure there isn’t any excess amount of water on the floor.
Other than that, in some areas, you may need to apply force. Do this until all the floor is covered.
Step 3: Wait for 8-10 Minutes
It’s time to let the vinegar do its job and stay put. Wait for 8-10 minutes and avoid walking on the floor during that time.
The vinegar will be air-dried within that period. This will get rid of the restorer automatically. Check the floor thoroughly for any signs.
If you see any, repeat the steps mentioned above until it’s gone!
Step 4: Use A Floor Stripper (Optional)
White vinegar may remove the stains that Rejuvenate creates. But it doesn’t remove it completely.
If you want to take out a floor restorer itself, you’ll need floor strippers.
But beware! Different floors require different types of floor strippers. For example, laminate floor strippers can’t be used on hardwood floors.
Spray the floor stripper and let it stay for 10 minutes. When done, take a nylon pad and scrub the entire floor.
After you’re finished, take a wet mop and go through the entire floor. Air Dry the floor afterward. This method is also useful for removing adhesives on the floor.
